- Gable - the triangular wall surface formed by the meeting of two sloping wall lines at the end of a ridged roof.
- Gazumping - is when a seller has already accepted an offer on his house from one buyer, and then accepts a higher offer from another buyer. This is common when house prices are rising fast.
- Grant funding - Money which is available to help pay the costs of certain property improvements. These grants are administered by the local authority and subject to qualifying conditions, often including means-testing.
- Ground rent - this is a sum paid annually by a leaseholder of a property (usually a flat) to the person or company who owns the freehold of the property.
- Grout - a thin mortar used in filling the joints and gaps between tiles. Grout is available in various colors.
- Gutter - a plastic or metal 'U'-shaped channel at the eaves of a roof for collecting and draining rainwater from the roof.
